Oklahoma Citizen is run as a community service by New Media Active. It is hoped that it can remain ad-free through the support of its users/members. However, it is possible that in the future, a few ads may be sold to cover the costs of hosting and maintenance.

Donations

Donations are used to keep this service running, to promote or develop it; if funds allow, we may also provide resources or assistance for freelance journalists in certain circumstances. Donations can be made with a credit card, electronic check or Paypal account. If acknowledgement is desired, those who support the site will be listed on our Masthead/Credits page.

Contributors (writers/photographers et. al.)

Oklahoma Citizen welcomes any citizen journalists who wish to post their material on the site without compensation. Such contributors are independent and do not represent Oklahoma Citizen. We do seek to develop a volunteer staff of contributing editors who have demonstrated an ability and commitment to news gathering and publishing who will work as agents of Oklahoma Citizen in covering events and news stories. These latter contributors will be listed on our Masthead.

Content providers

We are grateful to the organizations, bloggers, writers, videographers and others who have made their original content available for syndication on Oklahoma Citizen. In most cases, such content is not published in full, but provided here with a link back to its source. In all cases, we clearly designate the content as syndicated and credit the original publisher.
