Oklahoma Citizen is a free, open-access news portal and community action center that is dedicated to providing news, opinion, ideas and resources that are meaningful to independent-minded Oklahomans.

We offer current news and analysis from select contributors as well as from readers who chose to get involved in our mission.

If you are interested in becoming a content provider, the best way to start is to register and begin commenting on current content. Our editors are always looking for new and interesting contributors, so let us see what you’ve got!

The site is ad-free and we hope to keep it that way. No one involved with the site is making any money, and we don’t currently pay for content.

In the future, if donations allow, we would like to pay a modest amount for good investigative journalists to work for us. For now, we welcome contributions of good writing/photography/video, but can only offer our gratitude, a byline, and a referring link.
